The 2025–2026 Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) recruitment process is currently underway in Takoradi. According to officials, a total of 5,288 applicants are expected to participate in the exercise comprising 1,680 females and 3,608 males.

Breaking it down by service arms, the Army received 3,548 applicants, the Navy recorded 962, and the Air Force registered 778.

The ongoing recruitment exercise, being held at the Sekondi Gyandu Park, involves two major stages documentation and body selection.

Applicants are first required to verify their documents and identification cards before proceeding to the physical selection stage.

Speaking to the media, the Garrison PRO, Enock Opata, explained that the process has been smooth and well-coordinated to avoid any confusion or disorder.

He added that due to the large number of applicants, the process is being handled in phases to ensure efficiency and proper management.

Mr. Opata also cautioned applicants against engaging with middlemen who claim to have influence over the recruitment process.
