Fix Bekwai Roundabout And Bantama Market Manholes And Save Our Wheels – Ashanti Region Drivers

Potholes and open manholes are taking a toll on drivers in Ashanti Region, with frequent visits to mechanics and rising transportation costs.

The Abrepo Junction to Bantama stretch is particularly bad, with potholes at Bantama Market and Bekwai Roundabout causing havoc. Drivers are complaining bitterly about the damage.

“Every week, we must visit the garages because when you hit these manholes, your car gets damaged,” drivers told Angel Tv News.

The potholes also cause heavy traffic, often mistaken for broken-down cars, and there’s a police checkpoint at one of the worst spots (Bekwai Roundabout).

The drivers are urging the government, through the Minister of Roads and Highways, to urgently fix the manholes.

“We’re suffering, please help us,” they say.
