Effutu Omanhene Calls For Peace And Decency As Aboakyer 2026 Festival Is Launched.

The Paramount Chief of the Effutu Traditional Area, Neenyi Ghartey VII, has called for peace, unity, and responsible behaviour as the people of Effutu prepare for the 2026 Aboakyer Festival.

The Effutu Nananom, in collaboration with the Aboakyer Festival Planning Committee, officially launched the 2026 edition of the festival, which is scheduled to take place from 25th April to 3rd May 2026, under the theme: “Advancing Our Cultural Heritage for Development.”


Addressing the gathering, Neenyi Ghartey VII emphasized the need for residents to uphold peace and decency before, during, and after the celebrations to ensure a successful festival and promote development in the area.


He further cautioned drivers and okada riders to avoid reckless driving and riding, urging them to exercise caution and demonstrate professionalism on the roads throughout the festive period.

The Omanhene also advised the youth to exhibit good behaviour and act responsibly to protect the image of Effutu.

Meanwhile, the Municipal Chief Executive for Effutu, Hon. Rev. Atta Mensah, encouraged residents to prioritise and preserve their cultural heritage, stressing that a strong commitment to culture would significantly contribute to the development of the municipality.
