Youth Urges To Embrace Their Culture Heritage.

The people of Kwahu Obomeng in the Eastern Region have marked the second edition of their Clan Festival, with a strong call on the youth to embrace and preserve their cultural heritage.

The colourful event brought together indigenes and visitors, showcasing rich Kwahu traditions through music, drumming, and traditional dance performances.

The festival, which is gradually becoming a key cultural event in the area, created an atmosphere of excitement and unity among the people.

Speaking at the grand durbar, the Chief of Kwahu Obomeng, Odeefour Effah Opinamang III, urged the youth to take the festival seriously by learning their culture, understanding their roots, and respecting traditional values and culture.

The youth must use this opportunity to learn our traditions, know where they come from, and understand our customs, including marriage practices and family lineage.

Nqna emphasized that preserving cultural identity is essential for the development of the community and future generations.

The highlight of the celebration was the recognition of the Bretuo Clan, which emerged as the overall winner for this year’s festival, receiving honours for their outstanding participation and display of culture.

The Kwahu Obomeng Clan Festival is expected to continue growing as a platform to promote unity, tradition, and cultural education among the people.
