New Patriotic Party Polling Station Election Disrupted Over Alleged Voter Register Manipulation.

Polling station election for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was disrupted after aspirants and party members clashed with executives over alleged manipulation of the voter register in the Kwadaso Constituency of the Ashanti region
According to reports from the ground, some aspirants discovered that their names, including that of an assembly member, had been removed from the register being used for the election.
The move sparked anger, with contestants accusing party executives of conducting the process unfairly to favor personal and parochial interests.
The situation escalated into near violence, forcing a halt to the election.
Aspirants and affected members said they would not allow the election to proceed under what they described as a flawed and biased process.
“We are against how the executives are conducting the election.
Some names have been deliberately removed, and this is unacceptable,” one aggrieved aspirant said.
The aggrieved party members are now calling on the NPP national executives to intervene immediately, restore order, and ensure a free, fair, and transparent election process.
As of now, the election remains suspended, and no official statement has been issued by the party’s regional or national leadership.
