Medical Services To Be Withdrawn By GAUA.

This afternoon, end of semester exams to be disrupted on KNUST campus as university administrators continue to strike in protest against allowance disparities and market premiums.

We have details as the association says they are not backing down on their demands.

This afternoon, academic activities including end of semester examinations on the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology are expected to be disrupted beginning Monday if the government fails to heed to the demands of the Ghana Association of University Administrators.

Members of the association laid down their tools on Monday in protest against disparities in Market Premium and other allowances between teaching and non-teaching senior members of public universities.

As an important stakeholder in exam administration, the absence of the administrators could affect how safe and secure the exams would be conducted.

Phanuel Seli Kwadzo Asense is the Secretary of the KNUST chapter of the Ghana Association of University Administrators.

The administrators have also threatened to withdraw full services at the KNUST hospital beginning Monday, with both the Out-patient and In-patients departments of the hospital expected to be closed to the public.

End.
