Update On Kasoa Murder Kasoa MP Mourns With Family of 28-Year-Old Alleged Gang Rape And Suicide Victim, Urges Confidence In Police.

The Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya East Constituency, Hon. Phylis Naa Koryoo Okunnor, together with the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Seth Sewornu Banini, and personnel from the Central East Police Command, have visited the family of 28-year-old Monica Mawuse Bosso, who died following an alleged gang rape and murdered.
The deceased was discovered yesterday on the family compound kneeling beneath a mango tree with a rope around her neck, tied to a frail, low branch.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the Central East Regional Police Command indicate that Bosso was likely gang-raped to death before her body was transported to the scene and positioned to simulate a suicide by hanging.
During the visit, the member of parliament expressed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. She said it was unfortunate that a family already dealing with the pain of losing a loved one had to endure another painful and difficult situation.
She, however, urged the family to have confidence in the Ghana Police Service to thoroughly investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to justice.
End.
