The oti regional minister hon John kwadwo Gyapong over the week paid a visit to nkwanta senior high school to meet with students and teachers over the recent disturbances in the school between teachers and students over seizure of mobile phone.

Hon John kwadwo Gyapong called on the teachers to remain united because the recent incident happened as a result of disunity among the staff of the school.

He said some of the staff were in support while others were against the exercise which doesn’t speak well of them as staff.

He advised them to bury their diffirences and come together, Since the whole of nkwanta township in recent times is even still under curfew and the happenings in the school can spark anything in the town.

In his address to the students the minister asked them to remain obedient to their teachers because the teachers are there for them and to guide them for their future so if they have any concern they should rather go to the teachers for advise and not to fight and destroy school properties.

He added that GES don’t allow students to bring phones to school so if someone asked them to bring phones or unprescribed material to school the should say no and stay away from practice that can ruin their future.

He also said nkwanta senior high school has produced a lot of big men in the country and it doesn’t deserve this bad name.

He promises to help solve some challenges they face like fencing The school and many there.
