Accra Kordiabe Residents Blame Jopanya Chief Of Landguard Attacks

The Chief of Jopanya, within the Shai-Osudoku District of the Greater Accra Region, Nene Tei Djahene Korabo, has been accused by the people of New Kordiabe of persistently attacking them with his landguards.
The residents claimed that the Chief is forcibly claiming ownership of their lands and daily attacks them with his sponsored, fully armed men in the town.
Even though New Kordiabe is far away from where the Chief rules, he (Nene Korabo) is illegally claiming that the area falls within his jurisdiction.
Addressing a press conference in the town yesterday, the Chairman of the New Kordiabe Landlords Association, Joseph Akamah, said, “We have halted all our daily activities due to the harassment by the landguards hired by Nene Korabo to attack us.”
According to him, they legally acquired the land years ago and expressed worry over why they should be prevented from developing their properties.
He alleged that the Chief had joined hands with his son, Mr. Benjamin Nargeh, who was the Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in both the 2020 and 2024 general elections for the Shai-Osudoku Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, to harass them out of their legally acquired properties for thousands of Ghana cedis.
He called on the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, who doubles as the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Akweley Ocloo, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), President John Dramani Mahama, Minister for the Interior, and various authorities to come to their aid before things escalate.
He stated that the illegal activities by the landguards are creating an unsafe environment for them as legitimate citizens of Ghana.
Meanwhile, when contacted, the NPP 2024 PC denied all the allegations and called on the people to abide by the court ruling.
