Maxwell Kofi Jumah Arrested By National Security

Maxwell Kofi Jumah, former Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries, was arrested on June 29, 2025, by national security operatives at his Kumasi residence over alleged financial misconduct.

He’s being investigated for unauthorized sale of assets, including a company asset valued over $700,000, and questionable vehicle acquisitions, such as buying a 2018 Hyundai Genesis G90 for GH¢4,943.11, significantly below its value.

Maxwell Jumah is currently in custody at the Ashanti Regional Police Command, with his family exploring bail options.
