DCE Forms Sanitation Taskforce, Provides Over 100 Dustbins To Tackle Sanitation Menaces In Awutu Senya West

The Awutu Senya District Chief Executive Hon Kalala Eghan Nyamekye has and the Assembly have formed a strong Sanitation taskforce which consists of over 20 people including security officers spread across the district to fight against poor sanitation.

According to the DCE Hon. Kalala, apart from the formation of the sanitation taskforce, the Assembly has also procured over 100 dustbin and placed at vantage points to enable residents and commuters dump filth in whenever necessary.

Speaking to Angel news, the DCE said his aim is to make the Awutu Senya West district the cleanest district in the central region because soon it will turn into a tourist area.

He urged residents to participate in the exercise to make the district clean to avoid the spreading of cholerae outbreaks during rain season .

Meanwhile, Nadmo Director for Awutu Senya West , Mr.Rayback Salifu Adams also urged those who open their shops during clean-up to desist from it if not actions will be taken.
