The Chief of Wassa Wuratrem, Nana Kwasi Boaban ii, has formally requested the government to recall the contractor responsible for the incomplete Wassa Adesu-Afransie-Jukwa-Wuratrem road project.
According to sources, the road, which is crucial for the local community’s transportation and trade, has been plagued by delays and subpar work.
The Chief’s application to the government highlights the need for urgent completion and proper maintenance of the road to boost economic activities and improve residents’ lives.
The Wassa Wuratremhene Nana Kwasi Boaban ii, also urged the government to improve payment systems for contractors to prevent project abandonment.
He suggests phased payments to ensure financial stability and timely completion.
The chief continued that, government has previously terminated contracts for delayed projects, like in the Western Region, and emphasizes completing critical roads for economic growt
In the media interview with the chief, He made an appeal to the general public, individuals, NGOs and the Government to come and support him as he’s building the biggest Palace in Ghana with 56 bedrooms and other rooms
