Kubease Royal Family Appeals To Kwahu Chiefs To Separate Kwasi Boadi From Their Family

The Kubease Royal Family of the Kwahu Traditional Area has appealed to the Kwahu Traditional Council and chiefs of the area to clearly separate Mr. Kwasi Boadi, formerly known as Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, from the Kubease Royal Family in all matters relating to the chieftaincy.

According to the chief and elders of the Kubease Royal Family one of the royal gates responsible for selecting a Kwahuhenethe former Kwahuhene, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, now known as Kwasi Boadi, does not belong to their royal lineage.

The family is therefore appealing to the Kwahuhene, Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III, and the Kwahu Traditional Council that in any dealings with Kwasi Boadi, the name of the Kubease Royal Family should not be mentioned.

Speaking to the head of the family, during a press conference at Kwahu Abene, AbusuapaninYaw Amoah, he explained that the Kubease Royal Family have warned that the family will not be held responsible for any actions or alleged misconduct involving the former Kwahuhene or his immediate family.

Abusuapanin Yaw Amoah further stated that should it be established that properties belonging to the Abene Chief’s Palace are missing, the responsibility should be placed solely on the former Kwahuhene’s family and not the Kubease Royal Family.

They also used the opportunity to affirm their full support and recognition of Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III as the legitimate and rightful Kwahuhene.
