One Arrested, 46 Rescue In Qnet Scam At Buduburam Green Estate

The Central East Regional Police Intelligence Department has arrested one suspect while 46 rescued including a child who have been trafficed from different countries from Africa to Ghana, kidnapped at Royal City a suburb of Gomoa Buduburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central.

Our sources says the Central East Regional Police PID had information that, a citizen of Benin, Nathaniel OBassa Oladedji has been lured to Ghana and trafficed at Buduburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

Police says on receipt of the information and days of intelligence gathering police located the house.

A resident they saw the police officers jumping over the wall to access the highly fortified house after the electric fence was disconnected to rescued 46 foreign Nationals including a child who have been trafficked.

According to information all the victims are from Ivory Coast, Benin, Togo and other french speaking countries.

Preminary investigations indicates that, the traffickers have taken huge sums of money while others parents are in the payments process.

Meanwhile, one of the victims family members name withheld says, the Suspects have kidnapped the victims , taken huge sums of money from them in the aim of sending them abroad not knowing is a scam.

Furthermore,The Public Relations Officer of the Central East Regional Police Command DSP Victor Dosoo confirmed the arrest and said investigationa ongoing.
