Assin Fosu Teacher Found Dead In Suspected Suicide.

A teacher at Faith Academy Basic School in Assin Dompim, identified as Emmanuel Kofi Quainoo, has reportedly taken his own life under circumstances that remain unclear.

Sources at the school indicate that the deceased had been absent from work for some time and only resumed duties yesterday.

However, he reportedly left the campus around 12 noon after the second break, informing colleagues that he was heading home to seek medical attention.

Tragically, news later emerged that he had allegedly hanged himself in his room at Assin Fosu, using a skipping rope tied to a crossbar.

In a heartbreaking development, his two daughters, aged eight and seven, are said to have raised the alarm after returning home from school and discovering their father unresponsive.

The body has since been reported to the police, and investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

In a related development, a 43-year-old farmer, identified as Ato Kwamena, is reported to have shot himself at Assin Betinsinso in the Assin Fosu Municipality.

According to relatives, the deceased allegedly phoned one of his brothers shortly after the incident, informing him that he had shot himself and urgently needed help.

He was rushed to a nearby health facility but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The incident has been reported to the police, and investigations are ongoing.
