Kasoa Petty Traders Kick Against Awutu Senya East Assembly Directive To Demolished Existing Shelves.

Petty Traders at Kasoa Old Market have raised concerns over the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly’s and MCE Hon Seth Banini Sewornu plan to demolish several temporary structures to make way for new store construction.

The Kasoa Petty Traders Association, representing nearly 1,000 traders, warned that the move would negatively affect hundreds of traders who cannot afford the rent for the new stores.

Isaac Boah the PRO of the association’s , described the assembly’s actions as contradictory to the government’s 24-Hour Economy Policy during a press briefing with the media.

The traders are calling for the decision to be revoked and for a more extensive dialogue to be held.
They call on president Mahama as matter of urgency call MCE to order else.

Some traders vowed to continue their protest “until they lose their last blood,” with many appealing to President John Dramani Mahama for intervention.
