We Shall No More Tolerate Open Defecation – Residents Warned.

Traditional leaders of Biemso No.1 in the Ahafo Ano South East District of the Ashanti Region have warned residents of any form of open defecation in the community.

Biemso No.1 is a farming community in the Ahafo Ano South East District of the Ashanti Region, known as a major hub for rice and maize production.

The community is faced with significant challenges, including, modern toilet facility, electricity shortages, etc.

After commissioning a first of its kind in the comminity,, a modern water closet toilet at Biemso No.1 funded by a philanthropist, known as Alhaji, Nana Atakora expressed heartfelt gratitude to Alhaji.
The facility is a 20-seater and 2 washrooms for both genders, furnished with a well treated drinking water.

He also said, having such a facility will help eliminate open defecation within the community.
“We the traditional leaders will strongly collaborate with the unit committee and the Assembly man in sustaining the facility.” Nana Atakora added.

The assemblyman for Biemso No.1 electoral area, Hon. Francis Appiah on his part thanked the philanthropist for such a first time toilet facility in the community.
He warned his people (residents) to make good use of the facility and make they pay any amount charged for visiting the facility.

Lastly, some of the residents who couldn’t hide their excitement for having a W/C toilet facility as a firt facility for the past 59-years said they highly relief for having that facility.
