Techiman MCE Commissions Six-Unit Classroom Block At Fiaso M/A Basic Schoo.
As part of efforts to enhance quality education in the Techiman Municipality, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Kwaku Adjei Mensah, has commissioned a six-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Fiaso M/A Basic School in the Bono East Region.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by a delegation of municipal officials, education directors, traditional leaders, teachers, and excited pupils of the school.
Speaking in an interview with the media during the commissioning, Hon. Kwaku Adjei Mensah revealed that children in the community had resorted to learning under trees due to the huge population in the school.
He emphasised that the government is committed to providing quality education for all children, regardless of their location, and assured that more educational infrastructure projects would be rolled out across the municipality.
The MCE urged the children, teachers, and community leaders to maintain and take proper care of the facility.
Honourable Kwaku Agyei used the occasion to highlight educational infrastructures on going in some schools in the municipality.
Meanwhile, Madam Hannah Yeboah, Headmistress of Fiaso M/A Basic School C, who spoke on behalf of the other schools, thanked the MCE for coming to the schools’ aid.
She also used the occasion to advise parents, guardians, and caretakers to always prioritise their children’s education.
