The Member of Parliament for Upper Manya Krobo, Bismark Tetteh Nyarko, together with the District Chief Executive for Upper Manya Krobo, Emmanuel Kwesi Lawer, have commissioned a new Junior High School block at Dawa-Kpesebi to improve teaching and learning in the community.

Speaking to the media at the commissioning ceremony at Dawa-Kpesebi, the MP stated that education remains his top priority and that the project is a result of the mandate given to the NDC, with development beginning within a few months in office.

According to him, residents of Upper Manya Krobo will soon be able to compare the two major political parties in Ghana on the day of accountability, adding that the deplorable school building was seen and neglected by the past government for 8 years without any attention.

He therefore assured that development will be fast-tracked in all corners of Upper Manya Krobo before the mandate given expires.

Emmanuel Kwesi Lawer, DCE for Upper Manya Krobo, in an interview stated that the commissioning at Dawa-Kpesebi is the first school project commissioned under the 2026 Common Fund in the Eastern Region among all the 33 districts.

He added that the Upper Manya Krobo District Assembly is committed to bridging the infrastructure gap in deprived communities.

Hon. Zibo Zakari, Assembly Member for Apemsu-Fantem Electoral Area in the Upper Manya Krobo District, expressed his gratitude to the MP and DCE for such an edifice in his electoral area and urged parents not to withdraw their wards from the school as they now have a befitting structure to enhance education.
