28yrs Old Lady Allegedly Gang Raped And Killed At Kasoa Peace -Town.

Residents of Kasoa Peace Town in the Awutu Senya East Municipality have been thrown into mourning following the grim discovery of a 28-year-old woman, identified as Monica Mawuse Bosso, dead in front of her family home under circumstances pointing to a staged suicide following alleged gag rape.
The victim was discovered on the family compound kneeling beneath a mango tree with a rope around her neck, tied to a frail, low branch.
The unusual posture immediately raised suspicions among residents and the Police.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the Central East Regional Police Command indicate that Bosso was likely gang-raped to death before her body was transported to the scene and positioned to simulate a suicide by hanging.
Police reports revealed that the victim was found partially clothed, wearing only a shirt.
Her skirt and underwear had been forcefully ripped off and were recovered at the scene alongside her mobile phone. Crime scene investigators detected signs of forceful sexual penetration and gathered semen samples for forensic analysis.
Adding a financial motive to the crime, initial inquiries revealed that GH¢2,000 was fraudulently withdrawn from the deceased’s Mobile Money (MoMo) account around the time of the incident.
The tragic incident unfolded after the family gathered to observe the one-week funeral rites of a family member, who died two weeks prior in a road accident along the Sagakope-Accra highway.
Speaking to Esther Nyavor, a cousin of the deceased, expressed profound shock and called on the authorities to ensure swift justice.
“We came together to mourn our late father, only to be hit by this unimaginable tragedy,” Nyavor said.
“This is clear foul play, and we urge the police to conduct a thorough investigation to bring those responsible to justice.”
Opinion leaders of the area expressed shocked over the incident, demanding heightened security and a comprehensive investigation into the murder.
The Assemblyman for the Adam Nana Electoral Area Hon. Frederick Kwabena Adasu extended his condolences to the bereaved family, condemning the act as barbaric and unfortunate.
He reassured residents that he will be working closely with the police service to ensure the perpetrators are apprehended and prosecuted.
The Central East Regional Police Command has launched a full-scale homicide investigation, and the body of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary pending an autopsy.
