Agric Minister Eric Opoku Is Competent To Be Ghana’s Next President – Chief Of Amankyerbare Enodorses Him.

The Chief of Amakyebare in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region, Nana Gyedu Kumanin IV, has openly endorsed the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. Eric Opoku, as the next President of the Republic of Ghana.

Nana Gyedu Kumanin IV made the endorsement during a community engagement and sod-cutting ceremony for the Waamu Inland Valley Irrigation Project at Kumi, where Hon. Eric Opoku was the special guest of honour.

According to the traditional ruler, Hon. Eric Opoku has distinguished himself as a hardworking, humble, and competent leader whose performance in public office is a clear testimony of his ability to lead the nation.

“He is really competent to lead Ghana. He is hardworking, God-fearing and has all the leadership qualities needed to transform this country.

We have watched him closely and we believe he is the right person to lead Ghana,”Nana Gyedu Kumanin IV stated.

The Chief further described the Minister as a visionary leader who understands the challenges of the ordinary Ghanaian, especially farmers, and has shown commitment to solving them through practical policies and projects.

He revealed that the Waamu irrigation project alone has brought hope to hundreds of rice farmers in his area, and such interventions are what Ghana needs on a larger scale.

Nana Gyedu Kumanin IV therefore called on delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to rally behind Hon. Eric Opoku when the party opens nominations for its flagbearership.

“I am appealing to all NDC delegates across the country to consider Hon. Eric Opoku and bring him as the next President of Ghana. He is the one who can lead the NDC to retain power and transform Ghana,” he added.

The Chief’s endorsement was met with cheers and applause from residents of Kumi, Amakyebare and Aninkrom, many of whom expressed confidence in Hon. Eric Opoku’s leadership.

Meanwhile, Hon. Eric Opoku in his response thanked the Chief and the people for their support and prayers, and assured them of government’s continued commitment to improving agriculture and the living conditions of rural communities.
