Anyone Deliberately Causing Power Outages To Tarnish NDC’s Image Will Be Dealt With–Ahafo NDC Warns

The Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. Charity Gardiner, on Wednesday, June 25, paid a visit to the Goaso VRA/NEDCo office to seek answers regarding the frequent power outages affecting the region.
Speaking to the media after the engagement, Hon. Gardiner stated that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) had fought hard to return to power and would not allow saboteurs to make the party unpopular through intentional power disruptions.
“We suffered to bring the NDC back into power.
We will not sit idly by while people cause power outages just to discredit our government. Anyone behind such acts will be dealt with,” she warned.
She emphasized that stable electricity supply is critical for economic growth and that the government is committed to ensuring that citizens and businesses are not burdened by unnecessary blackouts.
Masawudu Suleman, the Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer of the NDC, stated that the youth will not allow themselves to be ridiculed by ongoing power issues.
Leoman Iddrisu Dauda, the Ahafo Regional Organizer, also expressed dissatisfaction with the explanations given by the VRA/NEDCo manager, who attributed the outages to faulty transformers and tree felling activities.
He argued that such issues were not prevalent during the previous administration, implying that more needs to be done to ensure consistent power supply under the current government.
