Accept The NDC Reset Agenda And Embrace Tourism For Ghana’s Economic Transformation – DCE To Students

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Techiman North in the Bono East Region, Hon. Adom Johnson, has encouraged the students of the Holy Family Nursing Training School and the good people of Bono east region to embrace and support the National Democratic Congress (NDC) reset agenda, which aims to ensure a significant transformation of the tourism sector and the country’s economy.
He conveyed this message during the world tourism day celebration at the tano sacred Grove tourism center of the Bono east region as he encouraged all students’ from various schools to visit the Tano Sacred Grove, a tourist site situated in Techiman North in the Bono East Region.
He underscored that the NDC reset agenda is regarded as a crucial strategy for driving the nation’s advancement and enhancing its economic framework.
He emphasized that ecotourism serves as a robust catalyst for economic transformation in Ghana, and therefore, it is essential for the students to actively engage in visiting tourism sites to contribute meaningfully to the country’s development.
Mr. Joseph Appiagyei, the Bono East Regional Director of the Ghana Tourism Authority also emphasized that the rehabilitation of the Tano Sacred Groove would significantly enhance its appeal as a tourist attraction centre.
He urges stakeholders and philanthropists to assist the government in revitalizing the Tano Sacred Groove by constructing hotels, restaurants, drinking spots, and other recreational facilities.
He said Such developments would not only accommodate visitors but also promote the site, thereby enhancing tourism activities in the region.
Speaking on behalf of the students, Miss Mary Fakyewaa appealed to the Ministry of Tourism to collaborate with the Ministry of Roads to facilitate the construction of a road leading to the Tano Sacred Grove to enhance accessibility and encourage more visitors, as the current poor road conditions may deter potential tourists.
Additionally, she emphasized the importance of the Ministry constructing recreational facilities at the site to enhance its appeal to visitors.
Furthermore, she encouraged institutions, organizations, and various groups to prioritize visiting the Tano Sacred Grove to appreciate the beauty of nature.
