Atwima Nwabiagya South M.P Cries Out For Government’s Support In Health Facilities

The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South, Hon. Shirley Maame Tiwah Kyei, has called on the government to come in their aid with support of health facilities.

The M.P made this plea during her visit to the Nkawie Government Hospital and the Abuakwa Polyclinic in her jurisdiction.

During the visit, she supported over 200 male and female patients and staffs of both health facilities with an undisclosed sums of money, plates of hot meals and assorted soft drinks.

After finding out that patients are outnumbered the number of beds at the women, men and children’s wards in both facilities, she urged the government to help construct wards for the facilities to be able to absorb patients.

Though she is currently constructing a maternity ward for the Nkawie Government Hospital which is about 95% to completion, the legislator said that is not enough to solving the challenge.

“Aside the maternity wards, our health facilities are in serious need of other health equipments which I’m doing my possible best to get the problem solved.

But I urge the government to support as a matter of urgency “. Shirley Kyei sadly said.

“I have always been asking questions in Parliament about the poor health facilities and I will continue doing that and advocate for more supplies and things that will in the hospital and service delivery”. Shirley added.

Expressing their heartfelt gratitude to the M.P, some beneficiaries who received the support thanked her for such a timely and needful intervention.

End.
