Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe Boosts Healthcare In Amenfi Central With GHS 1.5 Million Ghana Cedis Medical Equipment Donation.

A renewed sense of hope and progress has been sparked in Amenfi Central following a remarkable act of generosity by the Member of Parliament, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, who yesterday donated a wide range of essential medical equipment to the Amenfi Central Health Directorate at Agona Amenfi.

The items were officially received by the District Health Director, Abdul Ganiyu Nuhu, and his team.

The donation included critical healthcare equipment such as a centrifuge, automatic sterilizer, baby incubators, baby cots, weighing scales, blood pressure apparatus, drip stands, mattresses, an anesthetic machine, heart monitors, both electric and manual wheelchairs, patient and delivery beds, oxygen concentrators, patient screens, stethoscopes, fetal dopplers, and many more.

Valued at approximately GHS 1.5 million, this significant investment is a major step toward improving healthcare delivery across the district.

It aligns with Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe’s vision of upgrading one of the existing health centres into a fully functional hospital in the near future.

Plans are also underway to elevate several CHPS compounds into health centres, with the Juabo CHPS facility expected to be upgraded soon.

To ensure equitable access and impact, the equipment will be distributed among all 39 health facilities within the district, strengthening service delivery and enhancing patient care across communities.

The presentation was made on behalf of the MP by a delegation including the DCE, Hon. Peter Amponsah; Constituency Treasurer, Hon. Astingo; Constituency Executive Member, Nana Wireko; Assemblyman for Agona Amenfi, Hon. Mathias Coffie; Election Director, Mr. Alex Oguah; along with other party and branch executives.

In his remarks, Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Nuhu expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe for the timely and impactful support.

He described the donation as a major boost to healthcare delivery in the district, noting that it would significantly improve the capacity of health workers to provide quality care to residents.

He further assured the MP and the people of Amenfi Central that the equipment would be properly managed, maintained, and used for its intended purpose.

He emphasized the Directorate’s commitment to accountability and the safe handling of the items to ensure long-term benefit for all communities.

This generous gesture not only delivers life-saving equipment but also restores confidence and dignity in the local healthcare system.
