Fire Razes Plywood Company At Sefwi Awaso Asepaneye. SEMPANEYE

A devastating fire has completely destroyed the HJZ Plywood Company at Asempaneye in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.

The raging inferno gutted the HJZ Ghana Limited main production house, heavy equipment, raw wood materials ready for processing, and finished plywood products meant for sale.

The Bibiani Fire Service received a distress call at about 1:24 pm reporting the outbreak at the company’s production yard. Upon arrival, officers met a fierce blaze but managed to bring the fire under control.

The Fire Commander has advised companies and households not to attempt to quench any fire by themselves.

He urged the public to immediately call the Ghana National Fire Service whenever a fire breaks out, before it gets out of control.

Lastly, the manager of the company, Osei Kofi suddenly highlighted that, about 150 direc workers are going to affected due to the fire outbreak.
