Fire Officer Warns Drivers Over Lack Of Extinguishers.

The Divisional Fire Officer, DOII Abdul Wasiu Hudu, has cautioned drivers operating without fire extinguishers to urgently equip their vehicles to help curb the increasing cases of vehicle fires in Agona Swedru and its environs.

He gave the warning during this year’s International Firefighters’ Day celebration held in Agona Swedru.

Speaking to Angel TV’s Nana Kojo Asare, DOII Hudu also raised concern over recent attacks on fire officers, noting that such incidents hinder their ability to effectively discharge their duties.

Meanwhile, some officers who participated in the commemorative float expressed their commitment to duty, despite the challenges confronting the service.
