Ahafo Ano North Health Director Appeals For Nurses And Staff Bungalows.

The Municipal Health Director for Ahafo Ano North, Mr. Frederick Kwaku Ofori, has appealed to the government and other relevant authorities to provide nurses and staff bungalows within the municipality to help improve healthcare delivery.
According to him, the lack of accommodation for health workers has become one of the major challenges affecting the retention and recruitment of nurses in the municipality.
Mr. Frederick Kwaku Ofori made the appeal during the celebration of the 2026 World Hypertension Month, and a health walk held at Tepa in the Ashanti Region.
Speaking at the event, he explained that many nurses posted to the municipality face difficulties in securing decent accommodation, forcing some of them to decline postings or seek transfers to other areas.
He stressed that providing staff bungalows would motivate health workers, improve their living conditions, and encourage more nurses to accept postings to the municipality.
The Municipal Health Director further used the occasion to educate the public on hypertension, urging residents to go for regular medical check-ups to know their health status and prevent complications associated with high blood pressure.
He advised the public to adopt healthy lifestyles by reducing salt intake, avoiding excessive alcohol consumption, engaging in regular exercise, and visiting health facilities for routine screening.
