Japekrom Traditional Council Challengesv Jaman South Municipal Assembly Over 24-Hour Market Site.

The Mpuasu/Japekrom traditional council is challenging the Jaman South Municipal assembly over the site for the 24-hour market over alleged divertion of the project site
Addressing the media, the Omanhene of Japekrom traditional area says the traditional council earmarked over 15-acre land for the proposed 24-hour market following a deliberation with the assembly.
To his surprise, the assembly is diverting the project to the current market at Drobo.
The manhene of Drobo traditional area Okatakyie Amoa Aturu Nkonkonkyia says, the assembly has failed to explain to the traditional council why the plot allocated for the project is abandoned, a situation, the traditional council finds it difficult to comprehend
The Omanhene tells the traders to disregard the letters from the assembly asking them to vacate the market.
He adds that, until the assembly gives the needed recognition to the traditional council and comes to explain things to them, they will not allow any trader to leave the market and will resist any attempt to construct the 24-hour market at the current Drobo market
