Amoako-Gyampah Urges Youth To Embrace Leadership, Entrepreneurship And Global Education.
The Member of Parliament for Upper Denkyira West, Hon. Rudolf Amoako-Gyampah, has called on Ghanaian youth to embrace leadership rooted in integrity, pursue entrepreneurship, and take advantage of global education and professional opportunities to drive national development.
Hon. Amoako-Gyampah made the call on behalf of the Minority Leader in Parliament, Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin, at the Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Abroad Education, and Professional Fair held in Accra.
Addressing participants, the MP said the future of Ghana depends on the quality of leaders groomed, businesses supported, and skills equipped to compete globally.
“Leadership is not about titles or positions. True leadership begins with character, discipline, service, and integrity. It is about solving problems and inspiring others to do the same,” he stated.
On entrepreneurship, Hon. Amoako-Gyampah noted that government, the private sector, and institutions must collaborate to create an environment where young people are empowered not just to seek jobs, but to create them.
He also emphasized the importance of abroad education, saying exposure to global systems can make Ghanaian students more competitive. However, he stressed the need for them to return home or contribute meaningfully to national development from wherever they are.
The MP described the Professional Fair as a critical bridge between training and the job market, adding that it prepares the youth for the demands of the 21st-century economy.
“On behalf of the Minority Caucus, we commend the organizers of this fair. We encourage all participants to take full advantage of the knowledge, networks, and opportunities being presented here,” he added.
Hon. Amoako-Gyampah concluded by urging all stakeholders to commit to building a Ghana where leadership is about service, entrepreneurship is encouraged, education is global, and professionalism is the standard.
