Traditional Authorities Urged To Exhibit Good Character To Maintain Their Dignity.

The Paramount Chief of the Gomoa Assin Akyeampim Traditional Area, Obrɛfo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea II, has urged traditional leaders to exhibit good character to help maintain their dignity in society.

He said traditional leaders must desist from behaviours that bring disgrace to the stool and cause people to disregard their authority and power.

Speaking on behalf of the Paramount Chief, the Apesemakahene of the Gomoa Assin Akyeampim Traditional Area, Nana Kofi Asawoma V, made this known during the mass swearing-in of over 100 traditional leaders in the Gomoa Assin Akyeampim Traditional Area in the Central Region.

Nana Kofi Asawoma V urged traditional leaders to be moderate in their consumption of alcohol and their conduct during public engagements to help maintain their dignity outside their palace

Some newly sworn-in traditional leaders from the various communities under the Gomoa Assin Akyeampim Traditional Area expressed gratitude to the Paramount Chief for the privilege and honour.

They also assured that they will work with the Traditional Council to make their various communities a better place for their people.
