A/R I Will Amend The Constitution To Include Chief’s In My Next Gov’t- Dr. Bawumia

The Vice President of Ghana and the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Alhaji Bawumia has stated that he will include Chief’s in his next government when given the mandate come December 7th.
According to him, he will review the constitution and make an amendment that gives chiefs the opportunity to be part of governance. Adding that his government will be an all-inclusive governance where no one will be left out.

Dr. Bawumia continues that he will also ensure that chiefs are given more power to rule on certain matters as they have been restrained, which is limiting their scale of work.
‘I will ensure divisional chiefs and queen mothers are paid under my government as only a few of chiefs are currently been paid,” he stressed.

The Vice President of Ghana stated that his next government will support religious institutions who are contributing immensely to the development of the country through the establishment of schools, hospitals, banks, and many others.
The flagbearer of the NPP said he will ensure these institutions get imported free duty and tax exemptions as their immense contribution to the state needs to be appreciated.
