Residents Stranded As Heavy Downpour Cuts Off Buduburam To Aprah Road.

Heavy rainfall during the midnight has cut off the road linking Obolo Estate junction to obolo estate in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, leaving residents strande

Over 400 residents, including motorists and drivers, were left stranded after the rain split the road into two, making it impassable.

In an interview with Angel news, some residents and Okada riders revealed that the bridge which serves as a channel for rainwater was destroyed several years ago.

Despite numerous reports to the authorities, no action has been taken to fix it.

Residents say the problem has persisted for years without any intervention, leaving them frustrated.

They are therefore appealing to the government and relevant authorities to come to their aid.

Meanwhile, several houses have been submerged by the floodwaters, and properties have been washed away.

Meanwhile, the District chief executive for Gomoa east Naana Ackom says the flood was caused by one filling station which was built on water ways, adding that the Assembly will take the necessary actions to avoid flood issues in the area.
