Fear Grips Community As Landguards Terrorise Residents, Calls On President Mahama, IGP To Intervene In Tenbibian Land Dispute.

Fear and Panic grips Residents of Tenbibian Community in the Ga South municipality of Accra Region as Notorious Landguards terrorizing them on daily basis.

They have appealed to the President and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to intervene in an ongoing land dispute between Nii Ayitey Ansah Family and the Armah-kwa Fio family.

Addressing a press conference, the Chief of Tenbibian, Nii Ayitey Ansah II, stated that the disputed land legally belongs to Nuumo Ayitey Ansah Family , stressing that the Lands Commission has already cautioned the Armah-kwa Fio family to stay away from the area after independent search by land commission proven the said land belongs to Nuumo Ayitey Ansah family.

According to the Chief, both the Divisional Police Command and the Lands Commission have warned the Armah-kwa Fio family against trespassing on the land, but they have allegedly refused to comply and continue to enter the disputed property.

He expressed concern over the situation and called on the President and the IGP to intervene to prevent any possible conflict and maintain peace in the community.

Meanwhile, the Tenbibian Dzaasetse, Nii Teiko Aryee, also maintained that the land in question was duly registered in the name of the Tenbibian family at the Lands Commission in 2016.

He argued that the Armah-kwa Fio family has no rightful ownership of any land at Tenbibian and urged the authorities to ensure that the law takes its course.

End.
