Six Students Hospitalized In A Clash Between Students And Suspected Zongo Town Boys
About six students of Offinso Technical Institute (O.T.I) have been hospitalized after a clash between the students and some suspected zongo town boys.
The unfortunate incident happened today, May 27, 2026. on the school’s premise few hours after the Eid prayers by the Muslim community in the town.
A teacher (Name withheld) who confirmed this to Angel Tv News reporter, Bismark Mensah, said there was an existed fued between both factions which according to the teacher led to what happened today.
He said the injured students have been admitted at the St. Patrick Hospital at Offinso Maase receiving treatment while other students have been scattered from campus and cannot be found.
“The suspected angry zongo boys also destroyed glass windows, doors, and others at both our boys’ and girls’ dormitories as well as our house master’s residence”.
“We have made an official complaint to the police which we think could help calm down the situation, though the school’s management and the Zongo leaders has discussed the way forward to finding peace”. He added.
