Promasidor Ghana Reaches Over 10,000 Children With Nutrition Drive To Mark World Milk Day 2026

Promasidor Ghana has intensified efforts to tackle childhood malnutrition and improve community health through a large-scale nutrition and wellness campaign in the Ashanti Region, benefiting more than 10,000 school children as part of the 2026 World Milk Day celebrations.
The outreach programme, which coincided with the 27th anniversary of the Cowbell brand in Ghana, delivered health screenings, nutrition education, and nutritious breakfast meals to pupils and families within selected school clusters, including T.I. Ahmadiyya Basic School, Afaus Lovely School, and Best Brain International.
According to the company, the initiative reflects its commitment to corporate social responsibility and supports key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and SDG 4 (Quality Education).
Healthcare professionals conducted comprehensive health assessments before and after the event while engaging participants in educational activities aimed at promoting healthy dietary habits.
During the screenings, medical experts highlighted the importance of milk consumption in supporting children’s physical growth, cognitive development, energy levels, and immune health.
Speaking at the event, Nursing Officer at Asafo Boakye Specialist Hospital, Eric Osei Asenso, educated parents and guardians on the nutritional benefits of regular milk intake and its role in preventing common deficiencies among children.
Brand Executive at Promasidor Ghana, Linda Akua Penni, explained that this year’s celebration was designed to align with the global World Milk Day 2026 theme, which recognizes the significant contribution of women to dairy production and family nutrition.
She expressed appreciation to Ghanaian consumers for their loyalty to the Cowbell brand over the past 27 years and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to providing affordable, fortified dairy products that address the changing nutritional needs of families across the country.
