GPRTU And Other Transports Unions Demonstrate Against Poor Nature Of Kasoa To Winneba Highway Under Construction.
The Ghana Private Road Transportat Union GPRTU and other Transportat Unions has jointly protested against Contractor Nag Fairmont Construction over the Deplorable nature of Kasoa,Winneba,Mankesim,cape coast Takoradi road.
According to the Demonstrators, the road under construction is no longer motorable and accessible frustrating drivers to spend over eight hours of a journey which is supposed to be three hours.
Some angry drivers speaking to the media noted that, due to the nature of the road they visit the mechanic’s shops for repairs and maintenance on daily basis which makes their business problematic.
They are calling on the government through the Roads and Highway minister Governs Kwame Agbodza to call the contractor to order or will go on strike.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Public Relations Officer for GPRTU Mr. Amoah has given the government two weeks ultimatum to force the contractor to make the road under construction motorable or drivers will park their cars and go on strike.
