Police at Nkwatia in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern Region have arrested a 24-year-old welder apprentice for allegedly attempting to cut off the head of his younger brother in a shocking incident that occurred in a scary forest

A 24-year-old welder apprentice Kwadwo is in police custody after he allegedly attacked his younger brother with a sharp object and attempted to sever his head.

Speaking with Angel news Oheneba Siaw According to an eyewitness, Bright Osarfo, residents heard desperate cries for help coming from deep within a nearby forest.

Concerned community members rushed to the scene and rescued the victim from the suspect.

Residents quickly intervened and handed the suspect over to the police for further investigations.

The Unit Committee Member for the area, Esther Kissiwaa, said an angry mob attempted to lynch the suspect after his arrest.

However, police officers intervened and rescued him from the crowd.

She added that during the confrontation, two
young men sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Angel News Oheneba Siaw visited the Nkwatia Hospital, where medical officials indicated that the victim, the suspect, and the two injured youths are all in stable condition and responding to treatment.

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
