Lower Manya Krobo NDC Calls For Immediate Suspension Of Branch Elections.
Some members of the National Democratic Congress in the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency in the Eastern Region are calling for the immediate suspension of ongoing branch elections, citing concerns that the process could trigger an internal crisis.
Addressing the Media in a press conference at Agormanya, Torkunu Luke Edem spokeperson for the group stated that, Alhaji Somaila the regional representative for the elections in the Constituency allegedly involved in irregularities, lack transparency and failure to address their grievances raise by some members prior to the elections.
According to him, continuing with the elections in the current atmosphere in Lower Manya Krobo Constituency risks deepening divisions within the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Therefore, the members urge the party leadership to intervene swiftly to ensure a level playing field and restore confidence among grassroots.

In Response, Alhaji Somaila Eastern Regional NDC Rep in Lower Manya Krobo Constituency for the branch elections noted that, the elections are conducted according to the party laws and guidance.
