Snr Pastor Mark Benyin Speaks Out After Former Senior Pastor of the Apostles Continuation Church, Kwabenya Branch, Pastor Mark Benyin, currently based in Germany, has responded to media publications alleging that a court has issued an order authorising the police to publish his identity and seek information leading to his arrest.
In a statement responding to the publications, Pastor Benyin said he was unaware of any pending criminal proceedings against him and had never been served with a charge sheet or summons to appear before a court.
According to him, his attention was drawn to publications indicating that the Asofan District Court had, on July 6, 2026, issued an order permitting the police to publish his identity across the media and television networks.
The publication reportedly identifies him as an accused person in a case titled “The Republic v. Mark Benyin,” with suit number
GR/ASF/DC/B7/93/26, and calls on members of the public to provide information that could lead to his arrest.
Pastor Benyin, however, disputed any suggestion that he had deliberately absconded from proceedings despite having knowledge of a criminal case against him.
“I wish to state categorically that I am not aware of any pending criminal court proceedings against me within the jurisdiction,” he said.
He added that he had never been served with a charge sheet or summons requiring him to appear before any court.
Pastor Benyin further described himself as a law-abiding citizen and a servant of God, while denying any involvement in the alleged crime.
He alleged that the publications were intended to cause hatred, ridicule and public odium against him and to damage his reputation both in Ghana and abroad.
He appealed to his friends, family members and others who may have been concerned or angered by the publications to remain calm as he takes steps through his lawyers.
“I have engaged my legal team to chart a trajectory to bring finality to the matter arising,” he stated.
The former pastor said he would rely on his legal team to address the matter and bring clarity to the circumstances surrounding the reported court order and the subsequent public notice.
