Market women at Gomoa Afransi in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region have threatened to shut down the District Assembly today, Monday, if authorities fail to restore the 24-hour market project to the community.

The women say they are demanding the return of the project to
Gomoa Afransi, insisting that the community has had an established market for the past eight years.

Speaking to Angel TV Reporter Nana Kojo Asare at a press conference held at Gomoa Afransi, Chairman of the Market Women’s Association,

Mr. Kwakye Adams, said the community deserves the opportunity to benefit from the 24-hour market initiative.

He called on the District Chief Executive to urgently address their concerns to prevent the planned action.

Some of the market women also expressed their grievances, appealing to the authorities to listen to their concerns and ensure the 24-hour market project is brought back to Gomoa Afransi.

End.
