Tesano DOVVSU Officers Commended For Rejecting Alleged GH¢30,000 Bribe.

DSP Portia Wadie, Commander of the Tesano DOVVSU, and Detective Sergeant Juliet Boatemaah of the same unit are reported to have refused an alleged GH¢30,000 bribe purportedly offered by an Assembly Member in an attempt to have an alleged defilement case dropped.

The officers are being commended for standing firm and refusing to compromise the investigation.

Their alleged refusal demonstrates the importance of professionalism, integrity and commitment to justice, particularly in cases involving the protection of children and vulnerable persons.

The allegation of bribery should, however, be properly investigated by the appropriate authorities, while the underlying defilement case should be handled strictly according to due process and the law.

End.
