Assin South NPP Polling Station Chairman Arrested Over Alleged Theft Of Road Construction Materials.

The Assin Manso District Police have arrested 42-year-old Isaac Addae popularly known as Kofi Wayo, a polling station chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Assin Tabil in the Assin South District of the Central Region, over the alleged theft of road construction materials belonging to NAG Fairmount Construction Limited.

The materials, identified as chippings, were reportedly intended for use in the ongoing construction of the Assin Manso–Ajumako road project being undertaken by the company.

Police sources indicate that the suspect allegedly used a tricycle to convey the chippings from the construction site and sold them to developers.

Isaac Addae was detained at the Assin Manso District Police Station for several hours before being granted police inquiry bail to assist with further investigations.

The police are continuing investigations into the alleged theft and the circumstances surrounding the removal and sale of the construction materials.

However, the suspect, known as “Kofi Wayo,” has denied the allegation, explaining that the person he contracted to collect the contaminated chippings mistakenly took the company’s chippings instead.

Angel News sources indicate that the alleged materials remain in the suspect’s custody, while the company, NAG Fairmount Construction Limited, is reportedly preparing to take further action.
