Chief Of Kofi -Sah Allrgedly Attacked And Beaten By Suspected Land Guards; Calls On IGP To Intervene.

The Chief of Kofi-Sah near Nsawam in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality, Nana Kofi-Sah lI, has reportedly been attacked and brutally beaten by suspected land guards in a shocking palace invasion.

According to Nana Kofi-Sah ll, the attack was allegedly orchestrated with someone whom they believe he wanted to be crown as a chief is behind it.

Narrating his ordeal to the News Team, Nana Kofi-Sah ll said the suspected land guards forcibly entered his palace, assaulted him and his elders, and threatened to kill him.

The chief described the incident as an attempt to usurp his authority and destabilize the peace in Kofi-Sah.

The matter has since been reported to the Ghana Police Service for investigation.

Meanwhile, Nana Kofi-Sah is calling on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to as a matter of urgency intervene and investigate the matter thoroughly to ensure peace and security in the community.

The Queen Mother of Kofi-Sah, *Nana Awo Kwabea*, has broken her silence on the chieftaincy dispute at Kofi-Sah.

According to the Queen Mother, she is the legitimate person who installed *Nana Kofi-Sah II* as the Chief of Kofi-Sah.

Nana Awo Kwabea stated that the chieftaincy stool rightfully belongs to Nana Kofi-Sah II whom she duly enstooled in accordance with tradition and custom.

She has therefore called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to urgently intervene in the matter at Kofi-Sah to ensure peace, law and order.

Some elderly persons who were allegedly beaten by suspected land guards during the invasion of the Kofi-Sah chief’s palace have recounted their ordeal.

According to the victims, who are between the ages of 50 and 70, the land guards showed no respect for their age and beat them mercilessly like children.

They narrated that they were assaulted inside the palace without mercy, despite being old men and women.

The victims are calling on the Ghana Police Service and the IGP to ensure justice and bring the perpetrators to book.
