19 Hospitalized In A Fatal Accident At Senya Bonsuaku
Four out of 19 passengers are in critical condition and receiving treatment at winneba trauma and specialist hospital following head on collision on Senya Bonsuaku highway in Awutu Senya West District.
The accident happened early hours of Tuesday around 4am which involved two sprinter bus .
According to the report, the sprinter bus with registration number GR: 5137-18 From Kasoa heading towards Senya Bereku and another sprinter bus with registration number AC: 804- 14 was also from Senya Bereku heading towards Kasoa.
Eyewitness, Mr. Kennedy Ewuah in an interview with Angel news said, the sprinter bus from kasoa was carrying foodstuffs and one passenger and the other bus was loaded with passengers from Senya Bereku heading to kasoa but the driver of the bus carrying foodstuff lost control due to the cloudy weather which led to the fatal collision.
He said, the two drivers were trapped in the bus with their legs broken and were rushed to trauma and specialist hospital with the support from the residents.
Meanwhile, Senya Bereku District Police Commander, DSP Kingsley Asante said 19 persons were involved in the accident but 4 are in critical condition and receiving treatment at winneba trauma hospital while others have been sent to Hope Christian hospital and Senya polyclinic for treatment.
He has therefore advised the drivers to be cautious with the weather while driving in the midnight to avoid such incidents on the road.
