Eight (8)Dead, Several In Critical Condition In An Accident At Kasoa Tollbooth

Eight (8) persons including two children has died, several in critical condition in a fatal accident at kasoa tollbooth in the Ga South Municipality.

The accident involved a sprinter bus registered GW: 7455-18 loaded with passenger from Madina heading towards Kasoa and private jeep with registration GR: 7673: W moving in the same direction.

According to sources, the jeep driver missed direction and was reversing on the highway which the sprinter bus with tough speed hit it from behind causing the spriter bus to salmasault for six times.

Sources said, while the sprinter bus was salmasaulting, the passengers were scattering on the road due to the severity of the crash.
Angel news reporter Opanyin Darko in an interview with some eyewitnesses revealed that, 8 persons including two children died instantly while many are in critical condition and rushed to to Amamfrom polyclinic and Kasoa mother and child for treatment.

They said, the jeep driver after missing it way was decided to reverse on the road instead of taking the U- turn ahead of him which the sprinter bus hit it from behind.

Meanwhile, Chief Inspector Joseph Mensah of Amamfrom Police station has confirmed the incident and urged the drivers to reduce the speed on the road to prevent accident and save lives.
