Nkwanta North Mce Promised To Complete All Abandoned Projects At Damanko

The MCE for Nkwanta North district assembly, Hon.Isaiah Kudjo Dordoe has promised to complete all uncompleted projects under the previous NDC government at Damanko.

According to him, there are several uncompleted projects at Damanko including schools, health centers, markets and other social amenities .
He therefore pledged his willingness to use the assembly’s common fund to complete all those projects to benefit the people.

He also hinted of government’s resolve in solving the water crisis in the district by reviving the water project at Damanko by laying pipes to Sibi and Kpassa in order to supply those towns with portable drinking water to end the perennial water crisis across the district during dry seasons.

On his part, the member of Parliament for the area who double as the chairman for water and sanitation committee of Parliament, Hon. John Oti Bless has called on the government to terminate the eastern corridor road contract to the Chinese contractor on Nkwanta- Damanko stretch.

He argue that, the contract was awarded since 2011but the contractor failed to deliver the road causing serious challenges to road users citing how long trucks are falling with their loads on the road on regular bases.
He however was quick to add that, the contractor is working on some portions of the road and promised to engage the contractor to speed up the work.

He therefore hope by the next two years, the road will be completed with asphalt to ease the movement of his people and the generality of all road users.

Both the MCE and the MP made this known in an interview with the media during the second edition of national sanitation day at Damanko on Saturday, 1st November,2025
