Prioritize Education To Empower The Youth – Chiefs Urged

The Chief of Wassa Abrodiem in the Wassa East District of the Western Region, Nana Yaw Gyan Bariamah III, has called on traditional leaders to prioritize education as a critical tool for youth empowerment and national development.

He stressed the need for chiefs across the country to support brilliant but underprivileged students to further their education beyond the senior high school level, citing financial challenges as a major barrier that causes many young people to drop out.

“These children must be supported to reach higher levels of education,” he emphasized.

Nana Yaw Gyan Bariamah III made these remarks during the launch of the Wassa Abrodiem Educational Fund, which coincided with the celebration of his 5th anniversary as Chief of Wassa Abrodiem.

Also speaking at the event, the Chief of Wassa Senchem, Nana Kofi Amponsah III, appealed to members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to conduct their internal flagbearer election in January 2026 in a peaceful and decorous manner.

He called for unity and tolerance before, during, and after the campaign period to safeguard party cohesion and national peace.
