A Memorable 41st National Farmers’ Day Celebration In Atwima Mponua

I had the honour of hosting my very first National Farmers’ Day Celebration as District Chief Executive for Atwima Mponua, and I am delighted to say it was a resounding success.

Under the auspices of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, the event brought together a vibrant gathering of stakeholders, departmental heads, district directors, and hardworking farmers from across the district.

In my keynote address, I encouraged our people—especially the youth—to take farming more seriously, as agriculture remains the backbone of our district and a vital pathway to job creation, food security, and economic transformation.

I also expressed heartfelt appreciation to our farmers for their unwavering dedication and immense contribution to our development.

We were honoured by the presence of our distinguished guests, including the Member of Parliament for Atwima Mponua, Hon. Seth Osei Akoto, and the Deputy Director General of the Narcotics Control Commission, Hon. Stephen Yeboah.

Their participation added great significance to the celebration.

A special congratulations goes to Mr. Ashitey from Aboabogya, who emerged as the 2025 Overall Best Farmer for the Atwima Mponua District.

His hard work, innovation, and commitment to excellence truly deserve commendation.

As a district, we remain committed to supporting farmers with the right policies, programs, and opportunities to enhance productivity and improve livelihoods.

Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future!
Atwima Mponua is proud of all its farmers.

End.
