Let’s Do Away With Politics In Sanitation Initiatives To Clean Communities – Asesewa Divisional Chief

The Divisional Chief of Asesewa in the Upper Manya Krobo district of the Eastern Region, Nene Ofei Tagbaja, has advised Ghanaians to set aside politics and embark on cleanliness exercises through communal Labour in communities.

Speaking to 7dstv News at Asesewa during a clean-up exercise by Dangme Youth for Development Assoction, he noted that communal labour is a crucial aspect of community development and it’s disheartening to see people allowing politics to hinder progress during such activities.

According to Nene, anyone who tags groups like Dangme Youth for Development, among others, whose priority is to champion development for Dangme land as politically sponsored, does not have anything to offer for the development of Asesewa.

He therefore urged all other groups to emulate Dangme Youth for Development Association for the development of Dangme land and Ghana as a whole.

The President of the Dangme Youth for Development Association, Simon Teye, in an interview, noted that the group is not politically motivated, but its aim is to champion development for the Dangme communities in Ghana.
